Planning to go on holiday to Prague with your children? Prague reminds of a fairy-tale destination for kids with its red rooflines, cobblestone streets, and enchanting "Disney" Prague castle. The Czech capital is rich in kids' activities, child-friendly museums, and world-class performances for all ages.
Here are some wonderful ideas for having an unforgettable time with your children in Hundred Spires Prague, both when the sun is out or when it's raining.
1. Prague ZOO
First of all, I want to mention the Prague Zoo, which children simply love!
Prague Zoo is on the list of the 10 best zoos in the world. With more than 60 hectares of exhibits and open spaces, more than 10 kilometers of trails crisscrossing the park, and major conservation projects, it's easy to see why.
The zoo's exhibits are divided by region or theme and include, for example, African plains, bird wetlands, or a penguin house.
Children can participate in a number of programs including special activities where they meet (and sometimes touch or feed) various animals from ferrets to snakes, bearded dragons, camels, and giant cockroaches.
Count on the fact that a day in the Prague Zoo will pass like a flash and the children won't want to leave!

2. Vysehrad fort and castle
A magical place in Prague shrouded in old legends? Discover Vyšehrad, a historic fort and castle in Prague, looming on a rock above the Vltava River!
Families with young and older children head to Vyšehrad to enjoy the atmosphere and the beautiful view of Prague Castle. There is a fantastic wooden playground for children, related to the old legends of Prague.
On the playground, children will meet characters from Czech myths, such as the great-grandfather Czech or a strong man called Bivoj wearing a boar on his back.
My tip: Near the playground lies Prague's oldest Romanesque rotunda, St. Martin. With your children, try to find a cannonball in its outer walls commemorating the Prussian shelling in 1757.
