Kvetnice is a small charming garden on Petrin Hill, hidden behind the old walls. The only one gate leads into it, covered with climbing flowers. Be vigilant, and don't overlook the entrance for your chance to slip into this romantic garden.

➺ My tip
It is challenging to complete all the funny things on Petrin Hill. When you're looking for a quiet place to recharge your batteries, Kvetnice is the right choice. Not too many tourists know about the garden, so take the opportunity and relax on one of the white wooden benches!
FUN FACTS: With its style, Kvetnice evokes small English gardens. Not a huge park, but an intimate private place, sheltered from public view, inviting for moments of reflection and romantic mood. Discover more romantic spots in Prague like this.
➺ Where to find the garden
The garden is hiding near Stefanik Observatory, beneath Rosarium, a lovely parterre with roses.
Go behind the observatory before you see an ancient wall. This is the Hunger Wall, built by the Czech king and Roman emperor Charles IV in the 14th century.
Walk down along the wall until you come to an archway right in the wall, protected by a metal grill. Go through the gate and you'll find yourself in the Kvetnice.

➺ History
The perennial garden Kvetnice was created between 1935 and 1937. At that time, it was built on a site of former military land. In 2019, the garden was completely revitalized to its current form.
Among all Prague parks, Květnice stands out for its concept and a rich collection of various trees and perennials. You will find more than a hundred species here.
